Cheltenham Pride 2023

On a beautiful sunny day, I had the opportunity of performing at Cheltenham Pride, an event that celebrates the visibility and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community.

The importance of pride events like Cheltenham Pride cannot be overstated. For many queer people, events like this are the only times they feel truly seen and accepted. Visibility matters, especially for people of color, who often face unique challenges within the LGBTQ+ community. Pride events help create a space where queer people of color can come together and celebrate their identities.

The weather was perfect for the day's festivities, with bright blue skies and a gentle breeze. The atmosphere was electric, with many people gathered to celebrate love and equality. Everywhere I looked, there were people of all ages and backgrounds coming together to support the LGBTQ+ community.

There were so many different activities happening throughout the day. From music and dance performances to food stalls and craft vendors, there was something for everyone to enjoy. I loved seeing all the rainbow flags and colorful outfits, each one a celebration of individuality and self-expression.

The highlight of the day for me was getting to perform alongside Copper Top, a queen who had appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race. It was incredible to share the stage with her.

As the day drew to a close, I felt a sense of pride and joy at having been a part of such an amazing event. Cheltenham Pride was a celebration of love and acceptance, and it was an honor to be a part of it. I left the event feeling inspired and grateful to have been a part of something so special.
